Welcome to SpeedoMeter ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how the SpeedoMeter mobile application handles information when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because SpeedoMeter is designed to work entirely on your device without any accounts, sign-ins, or backend servers, this policy is straightforward: we do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information about you.

SpeedoMeter provides real-time speed display using your device's built-in GPS / location sensor. The app includes four display modes:

All speed calculations happen entirely on your device. No speed data, location history, or usage data is ever transmitted outside your device.

The only device capability used is location / GPS access, and it is used solely to calculate your current speed in real time. Specifically:

• Location data is read directly from your device's GPS sensor.
• Speed is calculated on-device and displayed instantly on screen.
• No location coordinates, speed readings, timestamps, or movement history are stored on-device or transmitted anywhere.
• Location data is used only while the app is open and actively being viewed; it is discarded immediately after display.

SpeedoMeter requests "While Using the App" location permission (foreground location) to access GPS speed data. This permission is required for the core functionality of the app.

• We only access location while the app is in the foreground and you are actively using it.
• We do not request background location access.
• We do not track your location, route, or movement history.
• You can revoke location permission at any time via your device Settings. If revoked, speed display will be unavailable.

SpeedoMeter operates entirely offline. We confirm the following:

• The App does not connect to any remote server or cloud service.
• The App does not store any data locally beyond what the operating system requires to run the app itself (e.g., app preferences like selected speedometer theme).
• No personal data, usage statistics, or analytics are sent to us or any third party.
• No crash reporting SDKs, analytics SDKs, or advertising SDKs are included in the app.

SpeedoMeter does not use any third-party libraries, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media integrations. There are no third parties involved in the operation of this app that could access your data.

SpeedoMeter does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Since no data is collected, the App is safe for users of all ages from a data privacy perspective. However, parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children's use of speed-related apps.

Because SpeedoMeter collects and stores no personal data, there is no data at risk of breach or unauthorized access. The App reads GPS data in real time, uses it for on-screen display only, and immediately discards it. No security vulnerabilities related to user data can arise from this architecture.

Since we do not collect, process, or store any personal data, standard data subject rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws) do not apply in a traditional sense — there is simply no data about you that we hold. However, if you have any questions or concerns, you are always welcome to contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will never introduce data collection practices without updating this policy and (where required) seeking your consent.
